Overview:
The Chaplain Non-Certified position, individuals offer spiritual counseling and pastoral aid to patients and their families, receiving close monitoring and direction. Utilizing a blend of psychology, religion, spirituality, and theology, these professionals aim to offer comfort and inspiration to people from diverse religious beliefs and societal backgrounds.
Responsibilities:
Delivers consistent spiritual and emotional care to patients during visitations.
Conducts evaluations of spiritual needs and gives advice to patients, families, and caregivers in a timely and empathetic way.
Drafts reports for the medical personnel and proposes interventions to uplift the patient's mental state and emotional tranquility.
Reaches out to clergy or spiritual mentors for assistance in providing spiritual comfort to patients and their families as requested.
Gives support to Cone Health staff members on an emotional and spiritual level.
Manages a comprehensive directory of local resources catering to spiritual and religious needs.
Engages in hospital committees and interdisciplinary projects as required to uphold the vision and mission of the Spiritual Care and Counseling Department.
Delivers consultations and educational lectures to support the Clinical Pastoral Education Program and Employee Assistance Counseling Program as required.
Executes supplementary responsibilities as directed.
