Job Description
The Clinic Vascular Technologist is responsible for executing diverse vascular ultrasound procedures to offer precise diagnostic assessments for patients. This position functions under the supervision of the chief technical sonographer to guarantee optimal levels of patient care and safety. Specialized knowledge and proficiency in vascular sonography are prerequisites for the Clinic Vascular Technologist, who must also possess relevant certifications. By contributing to the identification and treatment of vascular disorders, this role aids in enhancing patient outcomes and the overall quality of healthcare.
Essential Job Function:
- Administers detailed vascular exams to ensure precise and timely identification of conditions, enabling effective planning of treatments and patient management.
- Carefully reviews test data for accuracy and thoroughness, then articulates the conclusions to the vascular physician in a way that promotes seamless teamwork and precise comprehension of the findings.
- Illustrates skill in using, identifying problems with, and scheduling repairs for testing devices in a safe and educated way to secure the existence of trustworthy instruments for precise evaluation and advocating patient well-being.
- Sustains expertise across present methodologies and proactively explores avenues for gaining new proficiencies and techniques, accommodating advancements and modifications in the industry to furnish innovative care and remain ahead in vascular technology.
- Possessing a valid CPR certification is essential for being equipped to promptly and correctly intervene during emergencies, thus safeguarding the welfare of individuals and fostering a secure healthcare atmosphere.
- Undertakes supplementary responsibilities as instructed.
Education:
- Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
Licensure/Certification/Listing:
- Required: RVT from ARDMS or RVS from CCI or RT-VS from ARRTBLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
