Overview:
The Diag Rad and CT Technologist WEO holds the responsibility of delivering excellent patient care throughout CT procedures by following authorized workflows and procedural guidelines. Under close supervision, this role utilizes specialized x-ray equipment controlled by computers to generate detailed cross-sectional images of the body, assisting radiologists in detecting various illnesses and medical conditions. An additional weekend option is available for this position, where the employee must adhere to WEO standards and complete two shifts within the designated weekend window for an increased compensation rate.
Responsibilities:
Operates X-ray scanners that create detailed computer-generated images of the head or body, known as CAT scans (Computed Axial Tomography).
Conducts regular and specialized CT scans following predetermined procedures to reduce the need for extra imaging and control radiation exposure, while also keeping examination efficiency at accepted levels.
Successfully finishes all assessments and paperwork in Computerized Health Information (CHL) and Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), precisely recognizing all fees linked to examinations and rectifying mistakes to ensure a smooth process.
Educating and readying patients for their exams to improve comprehension and compliance during tests and foster a favorable patient encounter.
Displays dedication to ensuring a safe environment, fostering a culture of learning from mistakes, and implementing ALARA principles to reduce errors and improve patient results.
Executes additional tasks as required.
