Overview:
The Environmental Group Leader is responsible for upholding cleanliness standards in the hospital's corridors, patient quarters, and workspaces. With oversight from management, this position supports in overseeing and educating personnel to ensure the department runs smoothly to address daily requirements.
Responsibilities:
Tasks are delegated to the frontline employees to ensure that the department's daily operational requirements are met.
Accomplishes essential documentation to properly record finished assignments.
Observes the performance of equipment to address any arising operational issues.
Identifies and reports any unsanitary or hazardous locations that require specialized care to reduce potential harm to employees and patients.
Tracks the financial objectives of the department alongside fulfilling the staff's supply requirements.
Ensures that staff have the necessary equipment and materials to efficiently complete cleaning duties on schedule.
Receives service inquiries from clients and safety groups focused on patient well-being, while simultaneously managing bed flow within EPIC, the healthcare facility's digital record-keeping platform.
Carries out additional tasks as required.
