Job Description
In the role of Nursing Secretary - Monitor Technician NT, there is a focus on aiding the Registered Nurse with essential care services and administrative tasks. Responsibilities include closely observing cardiac rhythms and promptly informing the Registered Nurse of any changes that occur.
Essential Job Function:
- Supports patients by helping them with tasks like bathing and shaving to facilitate their recovery.
- Conducts routine hourly check-ups to cater to the requirements of every patient on the floor, aiming to foresee any needs and promptly attend to any requests for aid.
- Supporting the Registered Nurse involves recording vital signs and communicating any developments or alterations promptly.
- Reinstates equipment and provisions to facilitate efficient daily operations of the unit.
- Dispensing food and nutritional additives to patients to uphold their nutritional requirements outlined in the care program.
- Effective marking and surveillance of patients prone to falling are essential for mitigating the risk of injuries.
- Records patient details, like documentation and tags, to ensure comprehensive and efficient communication with healthcare professionals.
- Executes tasks as directed by superiors.
Education:
- Required: High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of Cone Health's Basic EKG class within 3 months of hire.
Experience:
- Required: None
Licensure/Certification/Listing:
- Required: Good standing as Nurse Aide I with the North Carolina Division of Facilities Services. BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
