Overview:
Responsible for observing and recording patient conditions, the Nursing Technician I assists the Registered Nurse under close supervision. This role contributes to patient care by promoting progressive mobility and aiding with daily activities when necessary.
Responsibilities:
Supporting patients in daily living activities, such as dining, personal hygiene, and advancing mobility to facilitate recuperation and care coordination.
Assesses patient's well-being in connection to their nutrition, hydration status, and elimination processes to ensure resource distribution aligns with anticipated patient demands.
Accepts, relocates, and releases patients to transfer them to the appropriate facilities in accordance with the care plan.
Supports in clinical procedures by overseeing blood glucose monitoring, recording vital measurements, conducting electrocardiograms, applying restraints, and addressing elimination requirements to provide optimal care for patients.
Assists in the organization of unit inventories for supplies and medical tools to maintain a sanitary and safe atmosphere following the National Patient Safety Goals.
Making sure that individuals vulnerable to falls are in possession of the suitable arm bands, socks, and markings to protect their physical safety.
Facilitates the recording of all clinical practices, patient communications, and drug intake to sustain a meticulous patient history.
The assistant promptly responds to tasks delegated by the registered nurses and effectively communicates relevant patient observations to support collaborative efforts.
Completes any other duties as reasonably requested or assigned.

Certification required by State of North Carolina DHHR. Nurse Aide Certification required. BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
