Overview:
The Operative Clinical Technician assists the nurse during medical procedures in the Operating Room for patients across various age groups, such as children, teenagers, adults, and the elderly. With supervision, this position maintains the cleanliness and safety of the Operating Room according to hospital protocols and standards for Infection Control.
Responsibilities:
Maintains cleanliness and safety standards in the Operating Room as per the hospital's regulations and Infection Control protocols to establish a sterile setting.
Sets up patient rooms according to nurse's instructions to ensure adequate space is ready for upcoming surgical procedures.
Moves surgical equipment around the hospital to ensure that nurses have access to sterile supplies required for surgical procedures.
Assists in patient care planning and treatment management while being supervised by a nurse.
Monitoring involves keeping track of the quantities of essential items such as linens to ensure a pleasant setting for patients.
Manages the handling of requests for transporting specimens, patients, and labs to ensure that appropriate resources are assigned to meet patient requirements.
Carries out additional tasks as required.
