Cone Health Plastic Surgery Specialists is seeking well-trained, highly motivated board-certified Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon for Greensboro NC. Cone Health Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery Specialists offers high quality care for patients who have experienced physical trauma, need reconstructive surgery following cancer treatment, or are seeking aesthetic services. We provide a wide scope of reconstructive surgery and aesthetic surgery services, including but not limited to:

Breast augmentation Breast reduction

Breast reconstruction Skin reconstruction

Abdominoplasty Blepharoplasty

Liposuction Filler/Botox

Skin Care Wound Care

Qualifications:

Board certified or board eligible in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, unrestricted NC medical license, full unrestricted NC DEA, obtain Cone Health medical staff privileges, and complete other employment requirements. Board-eligible status is appropriate if less than 5 years out of training.

Responsibilities:

The individual remains up-to-date and competent within their professional field by reading published works and attending conferences at regional and national levels. They are actively involved in various education programs including those for patients, colleagues, and professionals. Additionally, they participate in educational and research opportunities that cover a wide range of topics, from formal lectures to clinical research projects. They actively engage in teaching and mentoring their peers through staff education conferences and clinical teaching.

Collaboration: Cooperates with other members of the professional team in liaison roles and assists in generating patient referrals through partnership building. Regularly communicates with referring doctors to keep them updated on treatment and results.

Provision of Patient Care: Direct and indirect care is provided to patients in the designated area, ensuring that all their health needs are met.

Upholding MCHS Professional Standards: This involves adhering to MCHS Medical Staff By-Laws, Service Excellence commitments, practice standards, physician expectations and professional image standards. Working in harmony with MCHS vision, mission and values to achieve organisational goals, while maintaining the highest integrity and commitment to patient confidentiality.

Takes part in medical audits, quality improvement initiatives, investigations, peer evaluations, and other assessments related to professional care standards. Offers medical oversight and guidance to the interdisciplinary team for optimal patient outcomes. Ensures adherence to safe practice standards and regulatory requirements.

Constantly improving and utilizing evidence-based practices is vital for achieving exemplary healthcare and service surpassing the 90th percentile. Keeping accurate records is a must as per MCHS policies coupled with applicable laws and regulations. Additionally, recommending ways to improve the quality and efficacy of care is necessary through participating in the development of clinical guidelines, programs, and procedures.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION:

Required:

Doctor of Medicine (MD), Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from a Medical School recognized by the North Carolina Medical Board. Also medical degrees from other countries that are equivalent to the United States MD or DO degrees from a Medical School recognized by the North Carolina Medical Board.

EXPERIENCE:

Required:

Completed appropriate residency training (and fellowship training as required).

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:REQUIRED

Required:

Practitioner must have completed the number of years in a residency program approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education and met all other requirements for eligibility to receive board certification recognized by either the American Board of Medical Specialties or the American Osteopathic Association in the primary medical specialty (or subspecialty) for which the Practitioner is applying for Clinical Privileges. If five (5) or more years have elapsed since the Practitioner completed such residency program, the Practitioner currently must have board-certification recognized by either the American Board of Medical Specialties or the American Osteopathic Association in such specialty (or subspecialty).

Fully licensed to practice Medicine in the state of NC.

Meets requirements of the Moses Cone Health System Medical Staff by-laws and obtains the appropriate level of medical staff privileges.

The Practitioner must have a current, and valid DEA registration number, with no involuntary limitations on prescriptive authority (schedule limitations) resulting from DEA disciplinary actions.

Each Practitioner shall maintain in force professional liability insurance as determined by the Moses Cone Health System Medical Executive Committee and Board of Trustees; currently $1 million each incident and each occurrence, and $3 million aggregate. The Practitioner must provide proof of professional liability insurance coverage, with a current certificate of insurance or a current copy of the policy. The professional liability insurance coverage shall be with a company approved by the North Carolina Insurance Commission and otherwise satisfactory to the Board of Trustees.
