Job Description
As a Registered Nurse (RN), the primary responsibility is to deliver excellent patient care and ensure positive patient outcomes by effectively and compassionately applying nursing expertise. Working under general supervision, this position advocates for professional nursing standards by organizing patient care through the nursing process and collaboration with different disciplines.
Essential Job Function:
- Assesses the healthcare needs and current health status of individuals in the assigned unit in order to deliver personalized and direct nursing care that meets their unique requirements.
- Reviews patient information, comprising medical records, test results, and current health status, to devise tailored nursing care plans.
- Establishes nursing procedures that include distributing medications and therapies to deliver comprehensive and impactful patient medical assistance.
- Checks medical files for accuracy and compliance with both legal standards and organizational rules.
- Examines patient feedback to interventions and recognizes any further actions required to achieve specified care goals.
- Engages with an interdisciplinary care team to ensure optimal care plan development.
- Undertakes supplementary duties as instructed.
Education:
- Required: Associate's degree in nursing.
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in nursing.
Experience:
- Required: 1 year as a Registered Nurse.
- Preferred: 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations.
Licensure/Certification/Listing:
- Required: Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state.
- BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
