Job Description
In the capacity of the RN Specialty Coordinator, responsibilities include overseeing patient care delivery, resource allocation, and technical aid provision. This role supports the development and evaluation of patient care procedures, with a particular emphasis on boosting quality, streamlining operations, reducing expenses, and engaging in collaborative problem-solving across various disciplines.
Essential Job Function:
- Assists in achieving strategic success in the designated field by identifying areas for improvement in quality and cost reduction.
- Evaluates the outcomes of therapeutic approaches on complex patient cases to fine-tune treatment plans based on responses to care.
- Evaluates team accomplishments against departmental targets for providing constructive criticism and coaching.
- Plans, arranges, and implements orientation, educational, and clinical advancement programs for the department to match staff capabilities with the needs of patients.
- Creates schedules for departments and daily staffing tasks to optimize patient movement.
- Acts on any other responsibilities given.
Education:
- Required: Bachelor's of Science - Nursing Legacy/Exception: Associate Degree in Nursing acceptable for employees in role on or
Experience:
- Required: 2 years as a Registered Nurse and 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations.
Licensure/Certification/Listing:
- Required: Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
