Job Description
Overview:
The Psychiatric Physician at Cone Health has the flexibility to work in different clinical environments such as inpatient, outpatient, or hybrid settings, either on a full-time, part-time, or relief basis. They may work at various Cone Health facilities, including the Behavioral Health Hospital, Behavioral Health Unit Crisis Center, and outpatient clinics in Greensboro, Kernersville, Reidsville, and Burlington. Responsibilities for the Cone Health Psychiatrist include delivering high-quality care to patients and fulfilling all clinical duties expected of them.
Responsibilities:
The role involves offering coordination services for a multidisciplinary team within specific areas. The individual also provides guidance and support to psychiatry residents and other students at Cone Health. They exercise independent judgment when diagnosing and treating patients, creating treatment plans, and guiding the interdisciplinary team (including advanced practice providers) to meet patient care objectives. The individual is expected to exemplify and uphold the professional standards of MCHS, adhering to regulations such as the Medical Staff By-Laws, Service Excellence commitments, practice standards, physician expectations, and professional image standards. Additionally, they may take part in activities such as medical audits, quality improvement initiatives, investigations, peer reviews, and other assessments related to professional care standards.
Qualifications:
- Board certification in Psychiatry (Fellowship training for child-adolescent). North Carolina Medical License. North Carolina Drug Enforcement Administration License.
