Job Description

Overview:

The Materials Management Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily tasks of ordering, retrieving, accepting, transporting, and restocking of materials to fulfill the demands of the department and patients. They are in charge of maintaining accurate records of inventory and monitoring the expiry dates of items to uphold the relevance and functionality of the materials within the department. The working hours for this position typically span from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with the possibility of flexibility during special circumstances.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the process of organizing, replenishing, retrieving, replenishing, and rotating stock to fulfill department requirements.
  • Examines operational and storage spaces to guarantee they are neat and well-maintained.
  • Authorizes the elimination of inoperative equipment and materials from operation and notifies the relevant department(s) about issues for necessary resolution.
  • Examines inventory data entry for accuracy and promptly updates information or prepares relevant documentation when needed.
  • Verifies that all supply deliveries are whole and accurate while ensuring the quality of the items received.
  • Examines and addresses situations involving out-of-stock items and shipping problems along with handling returned merchandise.
  • Reviews the day-to-day tasks and provides guidance to the appointed team members, while also conducting training sessions. Additionally, responsible for analyzing and explaining monthly discrepancies.
  • Ensures the seamless operation of systems/databases to facilitate the incorporation of patient charge capturing.
  • Carries out additional tasks as required.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION:

Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

EXPERIENCE:

Required:

  • 3 years of experience in healthcare materials management or other related supply chain field

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:REQUIRED

Required:

Valid Driver's License (if driving a Cone Health vehicle, must have 5 years of driving experience and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) must be approved by Risk Management)
