Job Description
At the Moses Cone Level II Trauma Center, the Trauma Response Nurse is responsible for proficiently communicating with trauma patients across different age groups. While receiving moderate supervision, this role plays a crucial part in interacting with the trauma departments during the resuscitation process.
Essential Job Function:
- Maintains compliance with regulatory standards throughout the process of providing excellent and streamlined healthcare.
- Reviews patient charts to confirm the fulfillment of essential information and treatment procedures.
- Takes part in quality assurance initiatives, which involve serving on the Trauma Quality Council to detect and rectify procedural issues to improve efficiency.
- Functions as a teacher in community-centered initiatives focused on injury prevention and trauma care to develop the competencies of healthcare teams.
- Supports the establishment and integration of updated guidelines in Trauma care to address patient needs.
- Executes any other responsibilities designated.
Education:
- Required: Associate's Degree.
- Preferred: Bachelor's Degree.
Experience:
- Required: 3 years as a Registered Nurse and 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or National Nursing Organization. ED or ICU experience preferred.
Licensure/Certification/Listing:
- Required: Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact State.
- BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
