Job Description
Overview:
The Registered Nurse (RN) is tasked with delivering excellent patient care and ensuring successful patient outcomes through the compassionate and proficient application of nursing expertise. Under general supervision, this position promotes professional nursing practice by coordinating patient care through the nursing process and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluates patient needs and health conditions in the designated unit to deliver nursing care that is customized and directly addresses the individual requirements of each patient.
- Scrutinizes patient details, such as medical history, diagnostic findings, and present condition, to devise individualized nursing care blueprints.
- Carries out nursing tasks, such as medication dispensing and interventions, to provide comprehensive and impactful patient care.
- Matches medical documentation to validate precision and adherence to regulatory benchmarks and organizational protocols.
- Analyzes patient reactions to treatments and pinpoints any further interventions necessary to accomplish specified care objectives.
- Partners with an interdisciplinary team to enhance the quality of care planning.
- Undertakes additional obligations as directed.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION:
Required: Associate's Degree in Nursing
Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
EXPERIENCE:
Required: 1 year as a Registered Nurse
Preferred: 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:Required:
- Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state
- BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
