Job Description
In an Ambulatory Retail Specialty Clinic, the Pharmacist II is in charge of dispensing medications as well as providing patient education within the local community. Duties also include supervising pharmacy technicians and working under the supervision of a pharmacist manager.
Essential Job Function:
- Deciphers and abides by the physician's guidance to provide accurate medical attention to the relevant recipient.
- Monitors and authenticates the processing of prescription orders, including entry, packaging, and dispensing.
- Supplies and supervises information on drug utilization and medications to healthcare practitioners, patients, and society.
- Supports in monitoring and appraising pharmacy technicians and delivers supplementary clinical support as required for enhancing patient care.
- Accomplishes extra responsibilities as designated.
Education:
- Required: Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor's of Pharmacy.
Experience:
- Required: 3 years
Licensure/Certification/Listing:
- Required: Registered Pharmacist in NC within 60 days of hire BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
