Overview:
The duties of the Nursing Technician involve observing patients and keeping track of their conditions to assist the Registered Nurse. This role works closely with supervision to support patients in their daily tasks and mobility as necessary.
This position is currently listed as full time days including weekend rotation. We are also open to weekend days only (every Saturday & Sunday).
Responsibilities:
Supports patients in performing daily living responsibilities, such as meal preparation, self-care, and gradual physical activity, with the aim of facilitating recuperation and following the prescribed treatment regimen.
Resource allocation and anticipation of patient needs are facilitated by evaluating the quality of life of patients in terms of nutrition, hydration, and elimination.
Admits, moves, and releases patients to facilitate their transfer to suitable settings as outlined in the care strategy.
Assists in clinical tasks like monitoring glucose levels, noting vital indicators, taking EKG readings, using restraints, and addressing elimination necessities to offer patients a comfortable care experience.
Supporting the upkeep of unit supplies and medical tools aids in creating a sanitized and protected space that aligns with the objectives of National Patient Safety Goals.
Ensuring that individuals prone to falls are supplied with the proper arm bands, socks, and indicators to safeguard their physical well-being.
Helps in documenting all medical treatments, patient communications, and medication utilization to ensure a comprehensive patient background.
Acknowledges and acts on tasks delegated by registered nurses, facilitating seamless cooperation in patient care.
Undertakes any other responsibilities as required.

Certification required by State of North Carolina DHHR. Nurse Aide Certification required. BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
