Overview:
The Cook is responsible for preparing, cooking, and baking meals according to the precise instructions given by the chef. This position operates with oversight and adheres to relevant sanitation and health guidelines while following established food production protocols to maintain a clean cooking environment.
Responsibilities:
Computes the required amounts of ingredients for a recipe to guarantee accurate production and meet essential requirements while also focusing on presenting the food in an appealing manner on dishes.
Adheres to set protocols for the proper storing of food items, materials, and tools to meet sanitation and safety guidelines.
Adheres to traditional recipes and employs designated cooking methods to meet dietary restrictions, including offering suitable food alternatives when required.
Ensures equipment is operated and cared for following either departmental guidelines or manufacturer's instructions to prevent any harm or undue deterioration from non-compliance.
Supports by giving constructive suggestions for recipes or methods if necessary to discover ways to enhance their flavor.
Carries out additional tasks as required.
