Job Description
Supporting individuals visiting patients, the Guest Information Representative offers guidance on visitation guidelines and protocols through computer technology, under the supervision of management. The primary objective is to facilitate a positive experience for guests and patients, help departments with specific initiatives, coordinate with volunteers to share visitation details, and assist visitors with their physical and emotional needs. This part-time role consists of 20 hours of work per week with a flexible schedule.
Essential Job Function:
- Helps department coordinator and director complete special tasks in a timely manner.
- Provides assistance to individuals with special physical needs by organizing transportation services.
- Communicates with guests to clarify the hospital's policies on visitation and provides them with information on the visiting hours and the restrictions on the number of visitors in the inpatient units.
- Collaborates with volunteer authorities on security matters and requirements.
- Works effectively with others in a professional and cooperative manner to promote interdepartmental collaboration.
- Recognizes patients and guests that may need language interpreters, sign language interpreters, or aid from Spiritual care and responds suitably.
- Undertakes supplementary duties as designated.
Education
- Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience
- Required: 1 year customer service
