Overview:
The Certified Nurse Aide role collaborates in assessing patient care requirements to deliver suitable and effective healthcare. Operating with minimal oversight in typical scenarios, this position records patient care data, implements suggestions, manages patient care duties, and ensures precise record-keeping.
Responsibilities:
Monitors and communicates any alterations in patient conditions and actions to the Registered Nurse to implement required adjustments to the treatment strategy.
Responding to both spoken and unspoken cues from individuals with mental health conditions is essential for establishing empathetic communication and addressing their requirements effectively.
Conducts educational sessions for patients.
Provides care to patients under the direction of a Registered Nurse, which includes taking vital signs, checking blood sugar levels, performing EKG tests, transferring patients in wheelchairs or stretchers (without EKG supervision), helping with bathing, turning, and repositioning patients, supporting patient mobility, and aiding with toileting needs.
Carries out additional tasks as required.

Required:
Successfully complete BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider within 30 days of hire date.
Current good standing with the NC Nurse Aide Registry verified through DFS https://www.ncnar.org/verify_listings1.jsp
Must have reliable transportation with adequate insurance as determined by the organization.
