Job Description
An opening has arisen at Cone Health for an established physician-educator to assume the responsibilities of Associate Program Director within the Internal Medicine Residency Program. This leadership position is tailored for a healthcare provider devoted to advancing medical education, maintaining high academic standards, and fostering the progression of aspiring internists.
In close partnership with GME leadership, the Associate Program Director plays a pivotal role in developing educational programs, fostering faculty involvement, recruiting residents, adhering to accreditation requirements, and cultivating a supportive learning setting that reflects Cone Health's dedication to outstanding patient care and educational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Aid in the management and improvement of the Internal Medicine Residency Program to adhere to ACGME guidelines and institutional regulations
- Demonstrate continued commitment to clinical practice by providing exceptional, patient-centered services
- Help with the process of recruiting, selecting, and retaining inhabitants
- Engage in the process of curriculum enhancement and assessing performance through milestone-centered evaluations
- Support local residents, pupils, and teachers, nurturing their professional advancement
- Keep track of how the residents are performing and give them feedback that helps them improve
- Advocate for the advancement of scholarly achievements, ethical conduct, and teamwork
- Function as a communicator linking the program, GME leadership, and institutional stakeholders
- Contribute to the evaluation of programs and the constant quest for improvement
Compensation & Benefits:
40 Days Paid Annual Leave; $5,000 CME annually; Professional Liability Insurance with tail coverage
