Job Description
Overview:
The Lifeguard is responsible for ensuring water safety among pool users and maintaining a secure and clean pool environment. This role operates under supervision during regular scenarios to foster the pool's use for fitness, leisure, and recreational purposes.
Responsibilities:
Oversees individuals in the pool area during open swim, lap swim, or organized activities to maintain a safe environment.
Administers and upholds regulations around pool conduct to minimize harm and takes action during urgent incidents.
Assists with all necessary opening and closing tasks like conducting chemical tests, documenting results, overseeing pool area usage, and shutting down machinery.
Instructs on essential water safety guidelines, swimming methods, and enhancing swimmer's skills through stroke refinement.
Assisting in the promotion of fitness initiatives and aiding in the upkeep of aquatic facilities to ensure equipment is well-maintained and cleanliness is maintained.
Carries out additional responsibilities as required.

- High School Diploma or equivalent
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:REQUIRED
Required:
Red Cross Lifeguard Training certification, CPR/AED and First Aid Certified
