Job Description
As the overseer of Clinical Compliance and Regulatory Services in Patient Safety, this individual plays a crucial role in consistently enhancing processes. This involves taking charge of teams to carry out proactive risk evaluations, delve into root causes, and devise methods to minimize risks effectively.
Essential Job Function:
- Leads the evaluation of patient safety culture, establishing a culture of transparency, utilizing biannual surveys to collect insights, pinpoint areas for enhancement, and explore methods to introduce positive transformations.
- Maintaining compliance with system, state, and federal regulations involves keeping abreast of changes in order to guide clinical and non-clinical staff towards adherence and minimize legal risks.
- Manages the conclusion of patient safety records to verify their adherence to top-tier criteria and precise content.
- Aids in outlining and shaping essential key performance indicators (KPIs) for staff members to enable senior management to grasp the critical elements that define position achievements.
- Engages with leadership at all levels within the company to discover potential areas for quality enhancement or to pinpoint other parts of the organization that could profit from the information that has been analyzed.
- Undertakes other responsibilities as instructed.
Education:
- Required: Bachelor's in Nursing.
- Preferred: Master's in Nursing or Healthcare Administration.
- Preferred: Certification as CPPS (Certified Professional in Patient Safety), CPHQ (Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality), or equivalent healthcare quality/safety certification acceptable.
Experience:
- Required: 3 Years of experience in a large acute care hospital environment.
Licensure/Certification/Listing:
- Required: Registered Nurse licensed in North Carolina or a compact state.
