Job Description
The Supervisor Molecular Imaging oversees daily operations, staff schedules, and patient care within the molecular imaging department. This oversees advanced imaging procedures using specialized equipment to visualize and analyze molecular and cellular activity within the body. This position works closely with medical teams to capture detailed images of cellular activity, aiding in the diagnosis and monitoring of conditions like cancer, neurological disorders, and cardiovascular diseases.
Essential Job Function:
- Directs and supervises the team, coordinates schedules, manages tasks, and oversees patient care to cultivate a structured and patient-oriented atmosphere.
- Manages and executes regular and specialized molecular imaging assessments with established guidelines to ensure accurate and effective monitoring of molecular functions.
- The task involves overseeing the appropriate operation and care of sophisticated molecular imaging devices, adhering to safety measures and carrying out periodic maintenance inspections to ensure precise and trustworthy imaging results.
- Assists medical teams with real-time imaging guidance during molecular imaging procedures to ensure the accurate placement of agents and interventions for molecular analysis.
- Verifies the execution of all imaging examinations and documentation within the Computerized Health Information (CHL) and Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), maintaining a detailed record of charges and resolving any discrepancies to improve workflow effectiveness.
- Supervises the proper completion of employee time records, gives guidance when necessary, takes corrective measures, and evaluates job performance to develop staff skills and maintain a high-performing team.
- Executes any other responsibilities as delegated.
Education:
- Required: High School Diploma or equivalent; Graduate of a Radiology, Imaging or related educational program.
Experience:
- Required: 2 years
Licensure/Certification/Listing:
- Required: CNMT (NMTCB) | Cert Nuclear Med Tech; Will consider either CNMT (NMTCB) or ARRT (N)BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
- Preferred: ACLS-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
