Job Description

Overview:

The Registered Nurse (RN) is tasked with administering superior patient care and guaranteeing favorable patient consequences by utilizing nursing expertise with compassion and efficacy. Under broad supervision, this role advances professional nursing standards by coordinating patient care through the nursing process and multidisciplinary teamwork.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluates patient conditions and healthcare demands in the designated unit to deliver nursing care that is focused and ensures each patient's needs are met appropriately.
  • Reviews patient data, including medical history, test outcomes, and existing health status, to formulate tailored nursing care plans.
  • Carries out nursing procedures, like administering medications and therapies, to offer thorough and effective patient care.
  • Observing patient responses to interventions and identifying any extra interventions necessary to reach established care objectives. Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to ensure the efficacy of care planning.
  • Carries out additional tasks as required.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION:

Required: Associate's Degree in Nursing

Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

EXPERIENCE:

Required: 1 year as a Registered Nurse

Preferred: 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:Required:

  • Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state
  • BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
