Overview:
The Nurse Technician Observer supports the Registered Nurse by monitoring and recording patient states. This position involves providing support to patients by helping them move around and aiding with everyday activities under direct supervision. The main objective of this position is to contribute to establishing a secure setting for patients who may be prone to suicidal tendencies or self-inflicted harm.
Responsibilities:
Assisting patients in their daily activities such as meals, personal hygiene, and improving their ability to move around, all geared towards aiding their recuperation and following the care plan provided.
Evaluates the impact of nutrition, hydration, and elimination on patients' overall well-being to allocate resources effectively and predict their requirements.
Facilitates the movement of patients to different areas as needed based on their care plan.
Provides support with managing patient excretory requirements, such as ostomy maintenance, enema administration, and condom catheter application to ensure patients receive optimal comfort during care.
Assists in managing unit stock of supplies and tools to guarantee a hygienic and secure setting that complies with the National Patient Safety Goals.
Verifies that patients at risk of falling possess the correct arm bracelets, socks, and signs to promote their physical safety.
Carries out additional tasks as required.

BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider. Certification required by State of North Carolina DHHR. Nurse Aide Certification required.
