Overview:
The Nursing Technician collaborates with the Registered Nurse to meticulously observe and document patient conditions. With supervision, this position assists patients in improving their mobility and assisting them with daily tasks as necessary.
Responsibilities:
Supports individuals with their daily activities, such as meal provision, personal grooming, and progressive movement to aid in their recovery and treatment regimen.
Evaluates the overall well-being of patients in relation to their nutrition, hydration, and excretory functions to allocate resources accordingly and anticipate patient needs.
Carries out the admission, transfer, and discharge duties to facilitate the movement of patients in line with the care plan.
Assists in clinical responsibilities, including monitoring blood sugar levels, recording vital signs, conducting EKG procedures, applying restraints, and attending to elimination needs to ensure patients receive thorough and considerate care.
Helps in the preservation of unit inventories comprising supplies and medical equipment to maintain a sterile and secure environment following the National Patient Safety Goals.
Validates that high-risk patients are supplied with the necessary wristbands, socks, and visual aids to uphold their physical safety.
Supports the documentation of each clinical procedure, patient interface, and medication application for the purpose of sustaining a thorough patient medical record.
Responds promptly to delegation from registered nurse staff and shares patient observations to ensure efficient collaboration.
Carries out additional tasks as required.

Certification required by State of North Carolina DHHR. Nurse Aide Certification required. BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
