Overview:
The Nursing Technician I helps the Registered Nurse by closely monitoring and documenting patient conditions. Responsibilities also include supporting patients with daily activities and promoting mobility under supervision.
Responsibilities:
Supports patients with daily living tasks, including dining, personal hygiene, and incremental mobility to assist in their recovery and treatment schedule.
Evaluates the influence of nutrition, hydration, and elimination on patient's quality of life to plan ahead for their needs and distribute resources effectively.
Coordinates the admission, transfer, and discharge of patients to ensure their placement is in line with the planned course of care.
Offers support in clinical practices like overseeing blood sugar levels, documenting essential signs, taking EKG recordings, applying restraints, and addressing patients' elimination demands for their compassionate care and well-being.
Assists in the organization of unit inventories for supplies and medical instruments to secure a clean and safe space following the National Patient Safety Goals.
Ensures that fall-prone patients have the required arm bands, socks, and signage in place to maintain their physical security.
Helps in recording all medical interventions, patient interactions, and pharmaceutical administration to preserve a comprehensive patient record.
Speedily responding to assignments given by registered nurses and sharing patient assessments to enhance teamwork.
Executes any other tasks as reasonably required or assigned.
