Cone Health Medical Group - HeartCare (HeartCare) is a reputable hospital-based team of qualified Cardiologists, comprising 45 board-certified members who operate in the central region of North Carolina. The group is currently in search of a highly-trained and self-driven Non-Invasive/Non-Interventional Cardiologist to fill a position at their Reidsville/Eden facility.
Opportunity Highlights:
The non-invasive cardiologist will offer medical services to patients who require care in both inpatient and outpatient settings. They will utilize various imaging techniques such as Echo, Nuclear Imaging, and TEE. Qualifications:
Board certification in Cardiovascular Diseases (BE acceptable if less than 5 years out of training), obtain FACC, full unrestricted NC medical license and DEA, Cone Health medical staff privileges, and other employment requirements.

Responsibilities:
To keep up with the latest developments and maintain professional expertise, the individual takes advantage of literary resources and attends regional and national conferences. They also engage in numerous educational and research activities, such as participating in patient education programs and staff education conferences. Additionally, the individual takes part in various didactic materials and clinical research endeavors, as well as clinical teaching and formal teaching conferences.
Collaboration: Engages in collaborative tasks with fellow professionals and contributes to expanding the patient referral network. Updates consulting physicians regarding patient treatment progress and results.
Care of Patients; Direct and indirect care is given to patients in designated areas. Employs medical oversight over the interdisciplinary team and supervises residents and medical students in their assigned responsibilities. Contributes to research conducted in clinical practice areas of personal interest. Maintains precision and punctuality in the documentation process and approves care given to assure medical records are current for billing purposes.
Upholding Professional Standards: Adhering to the professional standards of MCHS, which includes compliance with the Medical Staff By-Laws, Service Excellence commitments, practice standards, physician expectations, and professional image standards. This includes working within the framework of the MCHS Mission, Vision, and Values.
Safeguard of Standards: Is involved, as required, in medical audits, initiatives for enhancing quality, inquiries, reviews by peers, and other initiatives related to the levels of professional care. Offers medical guidance and direction to the interdisciplinary squad to reap the maximum advantage for every patient. Confirms conformity with safety practice standards and regulatory requirements.
Quality Enhancement: Incessantly strives to improve healthcare and services by implementing evidence-based practices and achieving outcomes that surpass the 90th percentile. Keeps records in compliance with MCHS policies and relevant laws. Assists in designing clinical guidelines, procedures, programs, and provides recommendations to enhance the quality and effectiveness of patient care. Consistently shares the on-call duties with other physicians of the designated areas.
Qualifications:
Required: Doctor of Medicine (MD), Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from a Medical School recognized by the North Carolina Medical Board. Also medical degrees from other countries that are equivalent to the United States MD or DO degrees from a Medical School recognized by the North Carolina Medical Board.
EXPERIENCE:
Required: Completed appropriate residency training (and fellowship training as required).
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:REQUIRED
Required: Practitioner must have completed the number of years in a residency program approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education and met all other requirements for eligibility to receive board certification recognized by either the American Board of Medical Specialties or the American Osteopathic Association in the primary medical specialty (or subspecialty) for which the Practitioner is applying for Clinical Privileges. If five (5) or more years have elapsed since the Practitioner completed such residency program, the Practitioner currently must have board-certification recognized by either the American Board of Medical Specialties or the American Osteopathic Association in such specialty (or subspecialty).
Fully licensed to practice Medicine in the state of NC.
Meets requirements of the Moses Cone Health System Medical Staff by-laws and obtains the appropriate level of medical staff privileges.
The Practitioner must have a current, and valid DEA registration number, with no involuntary limitations on prescriptive authority (schedule limitations) resulting from DEA disciplinary actions.
Each Practitioner shall maintain in force professional liability insurance as determined by the Moses Cone Health System Medical Executive Committee and Board of Trustees; currently $1 million each incident and each occurrence, and $3 million aggregate. The Practitioner must provide proof of professional liability insurance coverage, with a current certificate of insurance or a current copy of the policy. The professional liability insurance coverage shall be with a company approved by the North Carolina Insurance Commission and otherwise satisfactory to the Board of Trustees.
