Job Description
The Rehabilitation Technician, under close supervision, assists with patient care activities as directed by rehab personnel. Working under direct supervision, this position assists the preparation of treatment areas, equipment, and materials for rehabilitation sessions.
Essential Job Function:
- Supports patients diagnosed with AIDS by aiding them with mobility challenges, transfers, and following specific exercise instructions, and communicates any variations observed in the patient’s physical capabilities.
- Aids in the preparation and upkeep of a sufficient stock of therapy supplies and tools to ensure they are accessible for use in therapy sessions.
- Monitors and logs patients' reactions and advancements during therapy sessions to facilitate modifications in treatment plans.
- Performs tasks related to the maintenance, organization, and sanitation of equipment and facilities, along with executing clerical and technology-based duties as specified within the department.
- Aiding in the interaction with patients and their families requires utilizing the right words, attitude, and conduct, while being mindful of the patient's age, cultural heritage, and individual necessities.
- Executes any other responsibilities as delegated.
Education:
- Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
Licensure/Certification/Listing:
- Required: BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
