Job Description
Overview:
The Registered Nurse (RN) delivers superb patient care and ensures favorable patient outcomes through the compassionate and effective utilization of nursing knowledge. Operating under general oversight, this role advances professional nursing practice by coordinating patient care through the nursing process and collaboration among different specialties.
Responsibilities:
Assesses patient needs and health statuses in the designated unit to provide individualized nursing care that addresses each patient's unique requirements.
Examines patient information, like medical background, diagnostic results, and current health status, to design tailored nursing care plans.
Creates nursing protocols, including medication dispensation and interventions, to provide comprehensive and effective patient services.
Validates medical records for accuracy in line with regulatory standards and organizational guidelines.
Assessing the patient's reaction to treatments and identifying any additional measures needed to reach the defined care goals.
Collaborates with professionals from different specialties to optimize care planning strategies.
Carries out additional assignments as given.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION:
Required:
- Associate's Degree in Nursing
Preferred:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
EXPERIENCE:
Required:
- 1 year as a Registered Nurse
Preferred:
- 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:REQUIRED
Required:
Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state
BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
