Job Description
Registered Nurses (RNs) are responsible for administering top-notch patient care and securing favorable patient results by applying nursing knowledge with empathy and effectiveness. Working under broad supervision, this position advocates for professional nursing standards by orchestrating patient care through the nursing process and cooperation among various specialties.
Essential Job Function:
- Analyzes patient requirements and conditions within the specified unit to offer nursing care that is individualized and directly addresses the needs of every patient.
- Studies patient information, such as medical history, test results, and existing health condition, to design personalized nursing care plans.
- Performs nursing tasks, such as medication management and therapy execution, to provide comprehensive and effective patient healthcare.
- Authenticates the precision and adherence to regulations in medical records through reconciliation efforts.
- Assesses how the patient is responding to interventions and recognizes the requirement for additional measures to attain the established care objectives.
- Partners with interdisciplinary care providers to design holistic care plans for patients.
- Undertakes supplementary responsibilities as needed.
Education:
- Required: Associate's degree in nursing.
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in nursing.
Experience:
- Required: 1 year as a Registered Nurse.
- Preferred: 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations.
Licensure/Certification/Listing:
- Required: Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state.
- BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
