Job Description
The primary duty of an RN is to provide top-quality patient care and ensure favorable patient outcomes by applying nursing knowledge with compassion and efficacy. Under general supervision, this role promotes professional nursing practices by managing patient care through the nursing process and multidisciplinary teamwork.
Essential Job Function:
- Reviews patient assessments and health records within the specified unit to deliver nursing care that is personalized and responsive to individual needs.
- Scrutinizes patient data, comprising medical histories, diagnostic outcomes, and present health conditions, to devise personalized nursing care strategies.
- Undertakes nursing procedures involving medication administration and therapies to enhance patient care outcomes.
- Confirms the precision of medical records to comply with regulatory standards and internal regulations.
- Assessing how patients respond to treatments and identifying any supplementary interventions required to achieve the designated care objectives.
- Acts in coordination with interdisciplinary partners to ensure comprehensive care plans.
- Undertakes miscellaneous duties as instructed.
Education
- Required: Associate's Degree in Nursing
- Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
Experience
- Required: 1 year as a Registered Nurse
- Preferred: 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations
Licensure/Certification/Listing
- Required: Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state, BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
