Job Description
Overview:
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing excellent patient care and achieving favorable patient results by applying nursing expertise with empathy and effectiveness. Operating with oversight, this position advances professional nursing standards by organizing patient care using the nursing process and teamwork across different disciplines.
Responsibilities:
- Assesses patient needs and health status in the designated area to provide personalized nursing care and ensure every patient receives the direct care needed.
- Examines patient data, such as medical background, test findings, and present state, in order to establish personalized nursing strategies.
- Organizes nursing practices, like administering medication and therapies, to deliver comprehensive and impactful patient care.
- Verifies the accuracy and conformity of medical documents with regulatory guidelines and organizational policies.
- Assesses the way in which patients respond to interventions and highlights any supplementary interventions needed to reach predetermined care goals.
- Works together with a diverse care team to guarantee successful care coordination.
- Carries out further tasks as instructed.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION:
Required: Associate's Degree in Nursing
Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
EXPERIENCE:
Required: 1 year as a Registered Nurse
Preferred: 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:Required:
- Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state
- BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
