Overview:
The Security Officer plays a vital role in monitoring hospital premises and surrounding areas consistently. Operating under direct supervision, this position contributes to ensuring a secure atmosphere for patients, guests, and employees.
Responsibilities:
Assists in regulating entry and exit from hospital premises to verify that only individuals with permission are allowed access.
Assists in monitoring hospital premises to promptly address any emerging incidents, thefts, or accidents.
Records the day-to-day happenings and occurrences to compile reports on the department's operations for submission to the Director.
Coordinates the handling of motor vehicle assistance requests and escalates conflicts to ensure customers receive polite and respectful service.
Endorses the securing and unsecuring of campus offices, rooms, and buildings to permit authorized individuals to enter and leave.
Steps in to resolve conflicts, whether they involve patients, visitors, or staff, in a safe manner.
Assists Morgue Services personnel with security-related responsibilities as required.
Carries out additional tasks as required.

Valid Driver's License (if driving a Cone Health vehicle, must have 5 years of driving experience and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) must be approved by Risk Management)
STARR and BLS within 30 days of hire.
