Overview:
The Telecommunications Operator plays a key role in addressing both internal and external phone queries to ensure excellent customer service by directing individuals to the appropriate information sources. This position operates under strict supervision to aid in disseminating critical information during urgent scenarios.
This is a system-wide position - candidates could be asked to travel to any Moses Cone hospital campus to assist as needed; but, this opening is primarily located at ARMC in Burlington, NC.
Responsibilities:
Acts as the initial contact for both internal and external calls, ensuring prompt and precise delivery of patient information.
Assists in maintaining the functionality of communication systems, such as telephone switchboards, radios, and emergency alert systems.
Reaches out to individuals using paging or interoffice tools to match them with the necessary resources for specific issues.
Communicates emergency messages using written or verbal methods to add understanding for those assisting in emergency scenarios.
Uses modern technology to carry out tasks such as inputting data or processing words, which may involve revising lists and typing or reviewing written materials.
Helps organize schedules for internal team members to facilitate the coordination of meetings and staffing.
Undertakes additional responsibilities as delegated.
