Job Description
Overview:
The Transit Support Specialist is responsible for safely moving patients in wheelchairs, stretchers, or hospital beds in a secure and effective way. Operating under close supervision, this position ensures prompt response to requests and provides compassionate treatment to patients and their families.
Responsibilities:
Transferring patients within the hospital involves verifying their identification details to ensure that the right individual is being moved at the specified time.
Adheres to safety protocols and procedures to guarantee the secure transportation of patients while following regulatory standards.
Utilizes the suitable Hand-Off instrument (such as Hall Pass or Ticket-to Ride) to correctly record patient details, status, whereabouts, and health condition.
Provides customer service professionally to support employees, patients, and their families by addressing transport-related inquiries.
Inspects and cleans machinery to identify potential problems that may necessitate repairs or replacements.
Carries out additional responsibilities as required.

- High School Diploma or equivalent
EXPERIENCE:
Required:
- 0-1 Years of experience in a hospital
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:REQUIRED
Required:
BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
