Job Description
In the role of a Registered Nurse (RN) Per Diem, the focus is on delivering superior patient care and utilizing nursing knowledge to ensure efficient medical treatment and beneficial patient outcomes on an as-required basis. Operating under supervision, this position collaborates with the healthcare team and seeks guidance from experienced medical professionals to address demanding situations effectively for optimal patient care during designated daily rotations.
Essential Job Function:
- Helps in conducting patient evaluations, examinations, and interventions to facilitate thorough and individualized patient care daily.
- Aids in interpreting patient data to inform medical determinations, treatment schemes, and actions.
- Supports in carrying out advised medical interventions and treatments to promote patient safety through strict adherence to protocols.
- Collaborates with various healthcare specialists to enhance patient care outcomes by facilitating communication and coordination.
- Seeks the expertise and advice of senior healthcare professionals when faced with complex patient situations and challenging healthcare conditions to maintain optimal patient well-being.
- Undertakes supplementary duties as instructed.
Education:
- Required: Associate's degree in nursing.
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in nursing.
Experience:
- Required: 1 year as a Registered Nurse with 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations.
Licensure/Certification/Listing:
- Required: Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state; BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
