Overview:
The Inpatient Only Specialty Care offered by Advanced Practice Providers involves delivering specialized medical attention to patients within a hospital setting, working closely with one or more physicians. The role of the APP encompasses tasks such as evaluating patients, analyzing diagnostic findings, and devising and executing customized treatment strategies to meet each patient's individual requirements while coordinating with other members of the healthcare team. Hospitalists specializing in various fields like Neurology, Pain Management, General Surgery, Oncology, Nephrology, Pre-admission Assessment, Pediatric Education, and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation are part of the Inpatient Specialty care team.

Responsibilities:
Conducts physical evaluations on patients, examines their medical background, and analyzes diagnostic findings to deliver appropriate care to individuals.
Performs preventative health checks tailored to the patient's age, medical background, and individual requirements to offer proactive healthcare.
Provides information to patients and their loved ones regarding specialized healthcare issues, procedures, and post-treatment care.
Keeps track of every patient's treatment to guarantee precision in their medical background.
Performs specialized medical procedures following departmental protocols and clinical responsibilities as needed in hospital settings.
Enhancing inpatient specialty care involves examining, troubleshooting, and appraising clinical and system challenges to make improvements.
Carries out additional tasks as required.

Required:
Valid NC RN and Nurse Midwife or NP license OR NC PA license
Board Certified within 1 year of date of hire by either the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) for PA's OR the American Nursing Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the National Certification Corporation (NCC) for NP's OR the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB) or The American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB)
BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
Neonatal Resuscitation Protocol (NRP) Certification required for Neonatal Advanced Practice Providers
IVC Certified within 90 days of employment for Behavorial Health Advance Practice Provider
