Job Description
Overview:
A Patient Access Specialist is tasked with supporting patients in the admissions process by assessing their eligibility, organizing patient information for clinical staff, and responding to patient inquiries. Under the supervision of an authority figure, this position also assists patients in their admission preparation, oversees their admission process, and facilitates their discharge. The working hours for this particular role are Monday to Friday, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Responsibilities:
- Deploys a range of instruments and reservoirs to execute duties with precision and effectiveness, which involves documenting inquiries and answers to guarantee exactness in the records related to clinical, personnel, regulatory, and fiscal spheres, within the defined job boundaries.
- Acquires patient demographic particulars, gathers insurance data, and validates eligibility and coverage.
- Request upfront payment of patients' financial responsibilities upon receiving services.
- Meets efficiency benchmarks to uphold high-quality customer service standards.
- Recognition of patient requirements is achieved by posing inquiries to comprehend, evaluate, and forecast the patient's circumstances to solve issues, guide inquiries, or trigger emergency responses, utilizing adept customer service abilities.
- Displays an openness and capability to collaborate with others to facilitate a streamlined and timely exchange of information.
- Raises awareness to management regarding customer service challenges and potential improvements in processes.
- Executes tasks as delegated.

EXPERIENCE:

- 1 year of experience.
