Job Description
The RN is tasked with providing high-quality care to patients and ensuring positive outcomes through the empathetic and effective application of nursing knowledge. Working within a framework of general supervision, this role facilitates professional nursing practice by coordinating patient care through the nursing process and fostering collaboration among various healthcare disciplines.
Essential Job Function
- Examines patient requirements and conditions in order to deliver nursing care in the assigned unit, ensuring that all patients receive the direct care they require.
- - Scrutinizes patient information, such as medical background, test results, and current health status, to formulate personalized nursing care plans.
- Conducts nursing processes, such as medication distribution and medical interventions, to deliver comprehensive and high-quality patient care.
- Establishes concordance between medical documents and regulatory standards as well as organizational policies.
- Assessing the patient's reaction to treatments and recognizing any further interventions needed to fulfill defined care objectives.
- Aligns with a multidisciplinary care team to support holistic care planning.
- Carries out additional tasks as deemed necessary.
Education:
- Required: Associate degree in Nursing.
- Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
Experience:
- Required: 1 year as a Registered Nurse.
- Preferred: 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations.
Licensure/Certification/Listing:
- Required: Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
