Job Description

Overview:

Under moderate guidance, the Application Analyst Intermediate facilitates technical support for complex clinical and/or business applications to enhance their overall performance and meet the organization's expectations. Tasks include gathering, scrutinizing, and appraising user requirements and executing, refining, supporting, and resolving issues with clinical and/or business applications.

A clear preference is evident for EPIC Grand Central/Prelude Certification

Responsibilities:

  • Engagement with internal and external technical teams and end users plays a vital role in verifying that the organization's clinical and business requirements are fulfilled in the development and execution of the system.
  • Undertakes detailed evaluations of end user department operations, data acquisition procedures, report particulars, and technical challenges in relation to design and implementation decisions. This involves complex qualitative and quantitative analyses of the acquired data and information during the application requirements collection phase.
  • Converts the business and clinical functions into system settings and operational processes.
  • Drafts and enacts test scripts designed for application testing, new release testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing.
  • Logs assessment results, architectural plans, alteration oversight, technological challenges, and procedural guidelines following departmental protocols.
  • Provides support for the technical utilization of complex applications, triages and troubleshoots issues, regularly monitors systems for data quality, efficiency, operational status, and data integrity, and escalates problems appropriately.
  • Stays current on recent technical developments and their potential implications for healthcare settings. Supports the integration and upkeep of third-party applications.
  • Delivers the required experience and insight to ensure the integration of all application components with the other cross-functional applications employed by the organization.
  • Undertakes supplementary duties as instructed.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION:

Required: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in relevant field

EXPERIENCE:

Required: 2 years

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:

Required: Clinical employees must maintain licensure appropriate to clinical education and training, without lapse. For Cone HealthLink (CHL) / Epic applications, must satisfactorily complete required Epic certification testing within the timeframe specified in the Epic Certification commitment policy.
