Job Description
In the role of Application Analyst Intermediate, the primary responsibilities include providing technical assistance for complicated clinical and business applications to enhance their performance and ensure they align with the organization's requirements. This position operates with moderate supervision, focusing on gathering, evaluating, and analyzing user needs to implement, optimize, support, and troubleshoot clinical and business applications.
Essential Job Function:
- Engages with both internal and external technical experts and end-user communities to verify that applications and third-party systems fulfill the organization's clinical and business criteria while constructing and deploying the system.
- Conducts detailed examinations of the operational procedures within end user departments, gathering data, detailing reports, and addressing technical challenges that impact design and construction determinations. Undertakes complex qualitative and quantitative analyses on the data and information gathered as a component of the application requirement acquisition process.
- Translates the operational and clinical aspects into system arrangement and operational procedures.
- Creates and runs test scripts to carry out testing procedures for applications, new releases, integrations, and user acceptance.
- - Logs examination findings, project schematics, update management, software challenges, and inner guidelines per departmental norms.
- Delivers support for complex applications by triaging and troubleshooting technical issues, monitoring system performance to uphold data quality, efficiency, operation, and integrity, promptly escalating any concerns that arise.
- Keeps up-to-date with new technical theories and innovations and how they can be implemented in the healthcare field.
- Offers assistance in integrating and backing up third-party platforms.
- Brings the required experience and expertise to ensure all components of the application are harmoniously integrated with the other cross-functional applications used within the organization.
- Undertakes any other responsibilities as designated.
Education:
- Required: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in relevant field.
Experience:
- Required: 2 years
Licensure/Certification/Listing:
- Required: Clinical employees must maintain licensure appropriate to clinical education and training, without lapse. For Cone HealthLink (CHL) / Epic applications, must satisfactorily complete required Epic certification testing within the timeframe specified in the Epic Certification commitment policy.
