Job Description
Serving as an intermediary between the Central Business Office (CBO) and professional billing sites, the Billing Liaison plays a crucial role in fostering relationships with the leadership of both the CBO and provider sites to meet the organization's revenue cycle goals. This position operates independently, utilizing a deep understanding of revenue cycle operations and clinic procedures to detect patterns and workflows that lead to successful revenue outcomes.
Essential Job Function:
- Works closely with multiple billing sites, including physician practices and healthcare centers, to verify the correct input of visit registration information, payer identification, and invoicing.
- Coordinates routine visits to sites in order to help end users with any issues related to revenue cycle functions within Physician Billing (PB).
- Functions as a valuable asset for training employees on correct and effective revenue cycle operations alongside PB Instructional Designer and educational staff.
- Facilitates communication between practices and Central Billing Office leadership in order to recognize and solve problems associated with claim processing, claim payments, and denial resolution to improve revenue cycle performance.
- Supervises the implemented guidelines for each clinical operation and confirms the validation of all personnel's competencies in clinical and managerial fields.
- Collaborates with Central Business Office leadership to address and resolve ongoing trends that impact revenue cycle efficiency.
- Keeps up-to-date with changes in healthcare reimbursement methods.
- Executes any other responsibilities that are delegated.
Education
- Required: Associates in Business Administration, Accounting, Healthcare or related field; 5+ years management experience as Billing Office or Practice Management Manager will be considered in lieu of degree Preferred: Bachelors degree
Experience
- Required: 3 years experience working in Professional Fee Billing Environment and Physician Practice OperationPreferred: 5+ years' experience in Professional Fee Billing Environment or Physician Practice Operations
Licensure/Certification/Listing
- Preferred: EPIC credentialed or Certified in PB Resolute, Cadence or Prelude upon hire
