Job Description

Overview:

MUST HAVE IV EXPERIENCE

Within acute care facilities, the Clinical Pharmacist II Acute Care is responsible for delivering clinical support in addition to preparing and dispensing prescribed medications. Key accountabilities include overseeing all facets of medication administration, ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of medication therapeutics and distribution, evaluating the suitability of drug utilization, providing nursing support for patient and staff education, and supervising pharmacy technicians.

Responsibilities:

  • Follows and implements healthcare provider's instructions for the accurate delivery of care to the designated patient.
  • Oversees and authenticates the entry, packaging, and dispensing of prescriptions.
  • Supplies and supervises pharmaceutical-guided procedures, drug consumption trends, and medication-associated insights for healthcare experts, patients, and society at large.
  • Supervises pharmacy technicians.
  • Precepts students.
  • Teams up with healthcare professionals, like physicians and nurses, to optimize medication therapy and promote patient safety
  • Completes supplemental tasks as necessary or instructed.

Qualifications :

EDUCATION:

Required: Doctor of Pharmacy or BSPharm

EXPERIENCE:

Required: 3 years

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:

Required:

Registered Pharmacist in NC

BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
