Overview:
The Emergency Department Technician applies emergency care expertise to assist patients in the ED. This position operates with minimal oversight in standard scenarios, organizing the evaluation of patient requirements to enhance care provision and aiding in the execution of thorough care strategies, which aids in improving care in the ED.
Currently, the timetable is designated as Full-time: Nights with Weekend Rotation (7:00 pm-7:00 am). Additionally, we are looking for Full-time: Days with Weekend Rotation (7:00 am-7:00 pm).
Responsibilities:
Keeps a record of patient health statuses and prescribed treatments while maintaining thorough documentation to guarantee seamless and uniform care for patients.
Utilizing emergency care expertise to endorse patient care strategies in the emergency department that enhance overall patient results.
Provides support in delivering urgent medical treatment by utilizing expertise and capabilities to aid healthcare providers in handling critical scenarios.
Manages common emergency department scenarios with minimal oversight, utilizing critical thinking abilities to guarantee prompt and efficient patient treatment.
Maintains records of patient engagements and therapy strategies to ensure precise and current documentation.
Carries out additional tasks as required.

NAI | Nursing Assistant I
BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
Current Nurse Aide I with the North Carolina Division of Facility Services and completion of Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) course with current NC certification.
