Job Description
Overview:
The LPN Hospital position involves assisting the Registered Nurse or healthcare professional within a hospital environment to deliver excellent patient care. This job requires working closely with supervision to create and execute care plans within the hospital and organize equipment for procedures in various hospital systems of the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting the care team involves the collection of patient history and medical details to ensure comprehensive case documentation is present in hospital medical records.
- Supports in creating and executing care strategies as instructed by the Registered Nurse or healthcare professional to meet the needs of hospitalized patients.
- Ensures adherence to Cone Health's policies regarding sterile environments by implementing correct procedures and safety measures.
- Imparts healthcare guidance to patients and their families to ensure the effective transmission of information regarding the care plan.
- Assists in addressing emergencies and potential safety risks by employing protective gear and healthcare facility protocols to prevent harm to individuals in need.
- May be required to carry out additional tasks as requested.
Education
- Required: High School Diploma or equivalent; Diploma in Practical Nursing; Completion of Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) required within 4 years of hire.
Experience
- Required: None; New LPN Graduates must be accepted into the Cone Health LPN Academy
Licensure/Certification/Listing
- Required: Current LPN license in North Carolina; BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
