Essential Job Function
- Engages in on-site physical examinations of patients, assesses their medical backgrounds, and interprets the outcomes of diagnostic procedures to offer necessary medical interventions.
- Offers preventive health screenings by evaluating the patient's age, medical record, and specific health necessities to deliver anticipatory healthcare.
- Offers guidance and education to patients and their families on the intricacies of specialty medical conditions, treatment methods, and ongoing care requirements.
- Tracks patient care information to maintain thorough and precise patient history documentation throughout different offices.
- Administers medical procedures in an office environment as outlined by departmental regulations and clinical duties.
- Improving outpatient specialty care requires evaluating clinical and systemic challenges and finding solutions to enhance the delivery of services.
- Undertakes supplementary duties as needed.
Education
- Required: Master Degree Nursing or Master Degree Physician Assistant studies. Physician Assistant employed at Cone Health prior to October 14, 2024 with a Bachelor Degree will have the Master Degree requirement waived provided they have maintained employment and PA licensure with Board Certification.
Experience
- Required: None Preferred: 3+ years
Licensure/Certification/Listing
- Required:Valid NC RN and Nurse Midwife or NP license OR NC PA licenseBoard Certified within 1 year of date of hire by either the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) for PA's OR the American Nursing Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the National Certification Corporation (NCC) for NP's OR the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB) or The American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB)BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare ProviderNeonatal Resuscitation Protocol (NRP) Certification required for Neonatal Advanced Practice ProvidersIVC Certified within 90 days of employment for Behavorial Health Advance Practice Provider
