Job Description
Paramedics review the functioning of emergency medical services and deliver aid during critical medical scenarios. While overseeing routine cases under general supervision, these professionals handle essential patient care and emergency interventions, as well as guaranteeing the timely completion of reports and documentation.
Essential Job Function:
- Inspects emergency medical systems and protocols to guarantee they are functioning correctly and adhering to accepted guidelines.
- Guarantees the accuracy and punctuality of reports and documentation concerning emergency medical services.
- Deals with staff inquiries and resolves issues that demand policy interpretation in order to give advice and find solutions.
- Coaches work with entry-level employees to help them advance in their personal and professional development.
- Upholds a top-tier knowledge of emergency medical procedures, treatments, and innovations for the provision of quality patient care.
- Executes any other responsibilities as designated.
Education:
- Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
- ED/Occ Health: Required: 1 year of Paramedic experience Carelink.
- Required: 3 years of EMS paramedic experience Carelink Transport positions, must have 3 years of EMS paramedic or critical care transport paramedic experience. Carelink relief paramedics must have 5 years of EMS paramedic experience & 1 year of critical care transport experience.
Licensure/Certification/Listing:
- Required: Current valid NC Paramedic certification BLS (CPR-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider ACLS). American Red Cross or Healthcare Provider, Valid Driver's License. If driving a CH vehicle must have minimum 5 years as a valid licensed driver with MVR must be approved by Risk Management. Emergency Vehicle Operator's course completed within 1 year of hire.
