Job Description
The Pharmacy Technician Lead Certified Acute Care executes specific tasks to aid pharmacists in delivering secure, productive, and affordable services. With minimal direction, this position upholds the excellence of operations, regulatory criteria, and other intricate pharmacy procedures.
Essential Job Function:
- Manages the flow of activities within the pharmacy, such as the compounding of IV drugs, the proper distribution of medications following established protocols, and the acquisition of thorough and precise medication information in line with organizational standards.
- Acts as a source of information for other pharmacy technicians.
- Plays a role in mentoring and orienting fresh staff members.
- Leads the way in implementing improvements to processes and quality initiatives in the department.
- Demonstrates strong communication skills when engaging with colleagues within and beyond the pharmacy environment, ensuring top-tier customer service is provided.
- Executes tasks as provided by superiors.
Education
- Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience
- Required: 7 years. Successful completion (graduation) of CH accredited technician training program is equivalent to 2 years of experience.
Licensure/Certification/Listing
- Required: Certified Pharmacy Technician and must complete an 'advanced pharmacy technician certification' within 12 months of starting the role.
