Job Description
Overview:
We will accept new grads or experienced therapists!
The Occupational Therapist II evaluates patient's conditions, plans, organizes, and participates in rehabilitative programs that facilitates return to optimal functional abilities, improve mobility, relieve pain, increase strength, and decrease or prevent deformity of patients suffering from disease or injury, including patient and family education. This position is able to effectively and efficiently treat all patients in their clinical practice setting and complete all occupational therapy job functions with minimal guidance. This therapist initiates communication amongst inter-disciplinary team members, treats familiar patients with confidence, and advocates for their patients and team. This therapist may require mentoring/guidance in complex situations and may have difficulty with cross coverage to other settings.
Responsibilities:
Evaluates and addresses all diagnoses, including those of a more intricate nature.
Conducts thorough evaluations of patients' physical abilities, medical history, and functional limitations to develop individualized treatment plans.
Conducts therapeutic activities and various occupational therapy treatments to enhance patients' physical capabilities, including strength, flexibility, and range of motion.
Provides education to patients and their families regarding treatment plans, home workout routines, and self-management tips to enhance recovery outcomes.
Engages in teamwork to devise and carry out discharge plans and recommendations for further care, sometimes requiring input from fellow team members.
Documents and tracks patients' progress, treatment results, and reactions to interventions to facilitate necessary adaptations in treatment plans.
Teams up with professionals from diverse departments to deliver coordinated patient care and holistic treatment results.
Completes tasks beyond the designated role.

Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy
EXPERIENCE:
Required:
- 3 years
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:REQUIRED
Required:
Licensed by the North Carolina Occupational Therapy Board; BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
